Canesten Thrush Duo Oral Capsule & External Cream

Canesten Thrush Duo Oral Capsule & External Cream is a very convenient, easy way to both calm the itch and clear the infection. The on-the-go single-dose oral capsule which contains fluconazole works from within to clear the thrush infection, while the double strength thrush cream containing clotrimazole effectively calms the itch.

Canesten Thrush Duo Oral Capsule & External Cream can also effectively help your partner if he is suffering from thrush.

Please note: Before using Canesten® Thrush Duo Oral Capsule & External Cream, you should see your doctor if you are aged under 16 or over 60 (more safety information below).

Features:

1 oral capsule to treat the cause of thrush.
1 tube of double strength cream for the treatment and soothing relief of external thrush symptoms.

Preparation and Usage:
Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water (with or without food).

The cream should only be used externally. Apply thinly and evenly over the affected area 2 or 3 times daily and rub in gently.

If symptoms persist for more than 7 days, see your doctor.

The capsule is for oral use.
The cream is for use on skin only.

Do not use Canesten® Thrush Duo®:

If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to fluconazole,clotrimazole, to other medicines you have taken to treat fungal infections or to any of the other ingredients, including cetostearyl alcohol, of Canesten Thrush Duo.
If you are taking astemizole or terfenadine (antihistamine medicines for allergies), cisapride (used for stomach upsets), pimozide (used for treating mental problems), quinidine (used for treating heart arrhythmia), erythromycin (an antibiotic for treating infections).

Women:
If you have any of the following symptoms do not use Canesten Thrush Duo and see your doctor as soon as possible:
• Irregular vaginal bleeding. • Abnormal vaginal bleeding or a blood-stained discharge. • Ulcers, blisters or sores of the vagina or vulva. • Lower abdominal pain. • Pain or diculty in passing urine. • Fever or chills. • Feeling sick or vomiting. • Diarrhoea. • A foul smelling discharge from the vagina.
This is because Canesten Thrush Duo may not be the right
treatment for you.

Men:
Do not use Canesten Thrush Duo without talking to your doctor first if:
• Your sexual partner does not have thrush. • You have sores, ulcers or blisters on your penis. • You have an abnormal discharge from your penis. • Your penis has started to smell. • You have pain or diculty in passing urine.
This is because Canesten Thrush Duo may not be the right
treatment for you.

Before using Canesten® Thrush Duo®, you should see your doctor if:
• You are unsure whether you have thrush or this is the first
time you have had these symptoms.
• You have had more than two infections of thrush in the
last six months.
• You or your partner have ever had a sexually transmitted
disease
• You are aged under 16 or over 60. • You have ever had an allergic reaction to fluconazole,
clotrimazole or any other vaginal antifungal products.
• You have had any disease or illness aecting the liver or
kidneys, or have had any unexplained jaundice.
• You have heart problems, including heart rhythm problems. • You suer from any other chronic disease or illness

Box contents:

1 Oral Capsule 150mg.
1 Tube of Double Strength Cream 10g.

Ingredients:

The Capsule contains Fluconazole 150mg, The Other ingredients include Lactose Monohydrate, The 10g Tube of Cream contains Clotrimazole 200mg (2% w/w), It also contains Benzyl Alcohol, Polysorbate 60, Sorbitan Stearate, Cetyl Palmitate, Cetostearyl Alcohol, Octyldodecanol and Purified Water (see the enclosed leaflet for further information).

Do not use if you are pregnant, trying for a baby or breast-feeding.
Consult your doctor or a pharmacist before use if you are taking any medication other than the contraceptive pill and if you are aged under 16 or over 60.
